Any form of protection or treatment shouldn't be applied to fresh paint within 30 days. Coatings also need to be applied by hand, which makes it not a viable option for car manufacturer companies
At Status, we always start by fully decontaminating the paint via a multi stage wash and clay bar treatment. After this, we apply the coating by hand using a special single use applicator pad, one panel at a time. The coating then cures in our workshop at room temperature.
This question is a difficult one to have one single answer. With the top level ceramic coating and correct maintenence, you should see 10 years of life from your coating.
Using a top quality product means the coating will be much more resistant to cleaning chemicals and weather compared to standard off the shelf products.
